Wow!

Beautiful doe and fawn on post

Ft. Meade is huge! I feel completely lost here! Our first day here was yesterday…we got here at 11:30 am. We went to the PX to explore a little and left the cats in their crates. At about 1:30 we decided to see if we could check the kitties into the kennels early so we could explore in peace. Thankfully, they let us!
At 3:00 we checked into the temporary lodging. The rooms are…ok. Like a cheap hotel room but without the crack heads and hookers. Here are some pictures:

I stayed in the room to relax while Brandon went to check in...at 5:00 he came back to the room and said that we had to go to the vet! Apparently the kitties both had worms so we had to get them both wormed. They also both had ear mites really bad so we took care of that (NOT FUN!) and then we went ahead and got Precious some eye drops for her poor eyes. The vet said she might have a viral infection so we'll see how these drops work for her. :)

So yeah, stressful first day. It's all good though. I called the apartments today to find out if there was any way we might get an apartment sooner than the 12th and she said they might have one available by the 4th or 5th!

Well I'll have to get back to y'all soon! Bye!

Hi everyone!

Cutie!
Cute!
My baby!
Pretty!
Well I haven’t been online all week so this will be a long post!
We’ve had a great time here in South Carolina with my Aunt Shania and Uncle Chris…on Friday we recuperated and played with the kids. I’m not very fun to play with right now (being pregnant I can’t even play on the trampoline!) so they spent most of their time playing with Brandon. Brandon is apparently good at being a little kid because they loved playing with him! He’ll be a good Daddy. :)
On Saturday we were hanging out when Jarod decided he wanted to take us to the lake. So we all went (minus Uncle Chris because he was at work) and followed him through the woods. Little did we know that he was taking us on a 2 hour long hike up and down hills and through dry river beds! Once we got to the beach we found mica, quartz and fools gold everywhere! The whole beach was glittering with it! It was beautiful.
On Sunday we went to church at Newspring (Aunt Shania and Uncle Chris’ church) and it was awesome! Brandon says it was “fantabulous”. The guy who preached looked like a cross between Jesus (his hair) and Orlando Bloom (everything else ;)). He talked about how the regular Pastor, Perry, had called out one of his friends for showing butt crack…and how we often show spiritual butt crack by not obeying God’s Word. The sermon was preached from 1 Samuel and the basic idea for it was “If you’re not obeying God, he doesn’t care what else you do for him.”
Also on Sunday we went down to the lake (we drove this time!) and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows for lunch. The fire was really hot and smoky so it was hard to cook them good but we managed! I cooked mine until there was juice coming out of it! The wood that was in the fire was pine, a far cry from our usual mesquite! It didn’t smell as good either. J We were supposed to make ‘smores but we forgot the graham crackers and chocolate! So when we got home we made ‘smores in the microwave. They were delicious.
On Monday we had a grown up day. Aunt Shania, Uncle Chris, Brandon and I went to a nice Italian restaurant for lunch. Then we went to go see the new Indiana Jones movie. It was really good, but I’m afraid my favorite is still The Last Crusade! After that we went to a really good ice cream place. Brandon got some chocolate-coffee-caramel thing and I got a banana split. It was really good!
It would be difficult to choose a favorite day for this week long adventure…but if I had to I think I would pick Tuesday.
We went to the aquarium in Atlanta, Georgia! It is the largest aquarium in the world! (For those of you who don’t know, I am terrified of water. Especially when said water contains anything living, especially sharks and whales!)
When we got there we went to the “Tropical Diver” area, in this area there were big tanks full of cool looking, very colorful fish and some baby Blacktip sharks.
Then we went to the “Ocean Voyager” area. We started walking through the little hallway thing and before I knew it we were in this underwater tube! There was water all around us, and when I looked up I saw a Whale Shark swimming above us! This is where I had a conniption (conniption means “fit” if you’re retarded like Brandon); Whale Sharks can get up to 40-60 ft. long and they’re just freaking huge. I decided to rename them B.A.F. (Big Arse Fish). Once we got out of the tunnel, it was ok and I actually enjoyed looking at them. There’s this area called the theatre where it was just a big wall of glass so we could watch the whale sharks and other huge fish. There were these really ugly rock-looking fish that would just swim in place and look at you the whole time you stood there!
After that we went to the “Coldwater Quest”. There we watched the sea otters, sea lions, penguins and of course the beluga whale. The whales were my favorite this time because this one kept blowing bubbles and chasing them! He was super cute, almost like he was showing off!
We also went to the “River Scout” which had a bunch of big dirty fish and stuff. It was pretty cool though!
We also saw: Sea horses, sea dragons, electric eels, jelly fish, octopus and a whole bunch of other cool stuff. We got to pet some of them too!
We petted: Star fish, crabs, shrimp, sting rays and baby sharks! Sting rays feel like algae, it was kinda gross! They acted like they wanted to be petted though! They kept swimming up to us and getting really close to the top of the water. The sharks were kind of slimy but also grainy feeling.
Before we left we went to the gift shop and found some cool stuff. I got a stuffed baby penguin because he is so cute! Brandon got a necklace, we got our very first out-of-state refrigerator magnet and of course a couple post cards for the parents.
We forgot our camera on this trip but we plan to go back after Shrimpy is born!
On Wednesday we were just being lazy and getting ready for the trip to Maryland. We also went back down to the lake though to collect some of the pretty rocks and such that we found down there. We did laundry and got the car ready for another trip, a shorter one though. :)
This morning (Thursday) we left for Petersburg, Virginia.
We’ll be blogging more frequently soon!

P.S. I’m 15 weeks pregnant today!

On the road...

Well we're at our first stop in Bossier/Shreveport! Tomorrow we'll go to Birmingham, Al and then Saturday we'll arrive at South Carolina. We'll visit with my aunt Shania and uncle Chris until next Thursday, the 29th. Then we'll be moving on to Maryland.

The cats are not happy at all about being in their crates all day but they're being pretty good sports.

Also today I am officially 14 weeks pregnant which means I'm definately into my second trimester. 6 weeks until we find out the gender!

Well just a quick update today, I'll do another one next week!

It's a...

baby!

We have an appointment on July 5th to find out whether Shrimpy is a Leland or an Ember! We will be going to a 3D/4D ultrasound place in Bowie, MD on that Saturday so if anyone wants to come visit (probably more likely to be Shania and/or Chris since they live so "close") we can fit up to 8 people in the room. The appointment is at 10:00 AM and the link to the place we're doing it at is: http://www.my3dbaby.com/

We had an appointment this morning and we got to listen to the heartbeat again...Shrimpy was hyper! He/she was bouncing around so much it was hard to hear his/her heartbeat! But it was in the 160's which is normal and good!

In other news this is our first post so the people who get email notification of my posts should let me know if everything is working alright! Also Gran don't forget to forward to your clan and Mom to everyone else!

2 weeks until we leave San Angelo!
