Well Holy Crap

Last Tuesday, after I made my last post, I had to go back in! The pain got way too bad and I had to have DH take me. By the time we finally got there, the pain was at least a 15 on the pain scale! It was ugly.
It took them a million years to get me meds. They gave me demerol, and that didn't do anything for me at all. About an hour later they gave me stadol, which worked for all of about 20 minutes. So an hour later they gave me a shot of stadol in the leg and a shot in the IV. It worked for about 30 minutes. So they finally started giving me morphine, which finally did work for about an hour at a time.
They hooked me up to a PCA, which means I had my little happy button I could push every 10 minutes to get more morphine going. They eventually took that away and went back to giving me the morphine through the IV and mixing it with finergin (not sure if that's spelled right) to make it last longer. I was like that for about 3 days.
My mom flew in on Wednesday, if she wouldn't have come I'm sure I would be in the hospital still.
I saw every specialist in the hospital except for infectious disease and none of them could figure out what was wrong with me.
I had ultrasounds of my gallbladder, pancreas, liver, kidneys and they tried to get one of my apendix.
My white blood cell count was up and down and bouncing all around from like 10-19.
Thursday evening I just started feeling better. I went without my morphine for a few hours, only asking for it so I could sleep.
Friday afternoon they said I could go home! They never really figured out what happened, there are a lot of theories though. It was probably a combination of things.
Oh, we did find out what was causing my weird white blood cell count. On Wednesday I told the nurse that my IV site was infected, she blew me off. I was right! Here it is Monday and my hand is still puffy, swollen, gross and sore. I'm on antibiotics for it still.
So that's what's been going on in the Anderson household. We'll keep you updated!

P.S. Corbin is doing great, his heartrate/movement didn't change at all despite all the drugs in my system. We were praying that the placenta would screen out all of the drugs and keep him safe.
